TC60 GYMNASIUM
Located at Hessle’s Bridgehead Business Park, the aspiration for TC60 was to be more than just a gym - it’s a dynamic community space designed to help people truly thrive. The distinctive shape of the building, culminating in a bold wedge at one end, was a direct response to the unique qualities of the site, creating a striking and bespoke architectural form. Blending residential and commercial construction techniques, TC60 for Tommy Coyle is not only a one-of-a-kind building but also an exceptional experience for those who use it. The design merges functionality and aesthetics to create a space that inspires and motivates. BSB Architecture played a key role in providing the technical solutions for the building during RIBA Work Stage 4, ensuring that the design was effectively translated into reality. We continued to support the contractor throughout Work Stage 5, ensuring smooth delivery and addressing any challenges that arose during the construction phase. A particularly close collaboration was formed with the engineers to resolve the complex requirements of the steel frame and the intricately designed roof structure. This partnership ensured the successful realisation of a structurally innovative building that meets both functional and architectural aspirations.
